Bhutan: Gifted with a Queen

The Royal Wedding in Bhutan on Wednesday was quite an event to behold. Here is my little contribution to International Media coverage via Global Voices on this special event. This report is pure coverage of what Bhutanese citizens were saying about the event and not what foreigners or outsiders had to say.

The writer is a Bhutanese and the people talking about this great event are all natives.

This is my favorite picture of the royal couple from NDTV.

Punakha Dzong (built 16 Century) where the Royal Couple was married

(thanks to Langa, a small but important correction to be noted on my post for GlobalVoices. The tribute was NOT written by Rikku Dhan Subba but by student Tshering Tashi, a class XI student of Punakha HSS (which I have taken it out from Nobu's blog, teacher). The editor has been alerted and the correction should be made.)

Appreciations for making a contribution in covering and spreading the Royal Wedding event la, ma'am Sonam. However, I would like to point out a slight mistake in your report. I hope you don't mind. The lines you quoted from Rikku's Blog are not his own. He just copied it from one of the other blogger who also posted a poem written by one of his students (he has made it clear in the post). You may look into it la. Cheers!

Hey Thanks for that important correction. Credit should go to the right person, in this case the student, no doubt. Will work on that correction :)
